#tequilacon: the tasting

last weekend jen and i had the most amazing, 4-day, wedding experience ever. my best childhood friend, brooke (yes, we did confuse quite a few people with that: brooke & brooks), was getting married to the love of her life, toby, in puerto vallarta, mexico at the fabulous dreams resort. from the beginning brooke let me know that they wanted their wedding to be as personal and unique as possible. over the course of those four days, i would say she & toby more than achieved their goal. their love of adventure, fun and deep friendships was so apparent in every choice they made for their event.

this blog post is dedicated to their unconventional, and yet totally appropriate, "rehearsal" dinner. instead of your typical dinner, brooke & toby chose to have a tequila tasting with all of their guests at the resort. it would be an understatement to say that this was fun. we tasted many different tequilas and enjoyed speeches  from both the bride and groom's parents, and finished it all off with an enthusiastic, "arriba!" 

one more thing... HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKE!!!!!! 

the tasting was held at the vibrant "el patio" restaurant on the resort.

there were many flavors to choose from. : )

brooke's dad gave a great speech, including a slideshow of childhood photos of brooke.

brooke's mom finished the night off, with a heart felt speech about her wonderful daughter.

it was a gorgeous evening.

a little later that evening we found brooke & toby singing a duet to the "grease" soundtrack! they were rock stars, of course.
