Who says you have to be engaged to take some amazing, hot photos of you and the person you love?! Jen and Scot have been married for 8 years now, and their love has only grown with the time & experiences they've had together. Their love is still strong, passionate, and fun! They are a true example of love & marriage done right.  And, of course, they are looking better than ever : )

Any time spent with Jen & Scot is full of fun, and this shoot was no exception! The beach was beautiful, the weather was great, the light was perfect and all the elements fell into place.

A lot of the time, Jen and I spend time with people who want photos to remember a special event in their life, but these photos show just how important every moment is in life!

The great thing about moving to DC is that we are still in "explore our new town" mode!  We played tourist again this past weekend and hit up the national zoo (so much fun, go see it if you are visiting DC!) on Saturday and Sunday we did some paddle boating by the Jefferson Memorial (my favorite so far...it is beautiful!).  We love living so close to DC and are trying to make the most of it.  Of course, we now know where to take everyone when they come visit, so if you are ever in the area, call the Wilson B&B for reservations. :)

Scot and I had a blast hanging out with Steve, Amber and the kiddos these past 2 weeks.  We took advantage of our beach vacation with a little family photo session of the Portland side of the Wilson family.  I was totally LOVING Lauren's little sweater dress.  It was so cute on her!  The kids hung in there and did great for the shoot.  Probably because they were used to Auntie Jen and her big camera always in their face by day 7 of the vacation!!  We miss you guys and can't wait to see you again!!!

This past week I had the pleasure of joining Jen and her family for a beach vacation in Duck, NC! It was my first time out the true "Outer Banks" and I loved every minute of it! It surely will not be the last.

While we were enjoying the sun and sand, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to take advantage of this gorgeous setting and take some photos of Jen, her husband Scot, and her son Caden. 

As is plain to see the Wilson's are a gorgeous family, and their beauty is matched by their amazingly kind, fun-loving, and generous hearts. I consider it a privilege that I have been able to witness their love and passion for one another, and I know that I am lucky to call them friends. Mid-way through the trip, Jen and I were sitting by the pool and I just couldn't stop my self from gushing about how great her and Scot's families are. I couldn't believe I was in a house with so many of someone else's extended family members (there were 14 of us all together!) and I felt completely at home...how often can you say that?!

A huge thank you to Jen, Scot, Caden, Steve, Amber, Ethan, Lauren, Sarah, Cody, Gigi, Flo, Denise & Jim for making last week so much fun!

Fun times at the Wilson house!  Every year, the Wilson side of the family gets together for a beach vacation on the outer banks.  Scot's brother, wife and 2 kiddos came out to see us before the beach vaca and I've already taken a TON of pics!  I love my niece and nephew!  Watching the kids play together is so much fun!  Caden is having a blast with other kids around. No more only child!! :)  I took the opportunity to get some shots of Steve & Amber while we were hanging out in Old Towne Alexandria (my new favorite place).  Stay tuned for more shots from the beach next week!  Well, if Hanna stays away, hopefully!!!!
